About Adult Services Magazine List

This is a alphabetical list of Adult Services magazines and journals we carry, updated as of March 2008.

- The Library keeps most issues for 4 years. Exceptions are given in the list.

- Most new magazines are on the 1st floor in the south east reading room. Ask for older issues at circulation. Exceptions are given in the list.

- The library has a specialty area in Home repair and remodeling magazines. These magazines are marked "ccd" (cooperative collection development). We retain most of these for a longer period of time.

To check the availability of specific issues, call Adult reference at 217-367-4405. Or, visit the online catalog. If the magazine shows the status "on shelf" or "shelving cart", please call so we can retrieve and hold the item for you. If the issue you want says "display" or gives a due date, we will be happy to reserve the item and let you know when it returns.

If you are an Urbana Free Library patron, you can access EBSCO Magazine Article Summaries remotely via the Internet. This is a database/index of many popular magazines, with over 400 available in full text online. Go to our EBSCO page to find out more about this database and to connect to it you will need to type in the bar code number from your library card. (Anyone in the library may use this magazine database, only Urbana Free patrons can visit it from home.)
